December, 2016

Dear All,

The Data and Information Services team is sharing with you the latest CIAT Research Online Newsletter.  This newsletter includes all the 2016 research outputs submitted since our last newsletter. Congratulations to all for your publications and other research outputs. Please see some key highlights below:

  • For the year 2016, we have 172 peer-reviewed journal articles, 156 of these were published in ISI indexed journals. In 2015 we had 136 refereed articles, this year’s output represents a 26.47% improvement.
  • 71.5% of 2016 refereed articles are open access. 90 (52.3%) are Gold Open access where CIAT researchers paid for open access publishing and 33 (19.2%) are Green Open access where CIAT posted the authors’ final manuscript.
  • 36 datasets have been published in 2016, 2 (two) are being curated by the data team for open publishing. Our target was 45 open datasets in 2016.
As we bid farewell to one of our esteemed researchers, Dr. Idupulapati M. Rao, please take a moment to view his publications, books, book chapters, datasets and other research outputs here on CIAT research online.

Happy holidays and a prosperous new year from the Data, Information and Knowledge group.

Sincerely on behalf of the “open” team,
