CIAT’s 50 years recognized at Embrapa
During the CIAT–Cirad–Embrapa breeders’ workshop (March 20th to 22nd in Goiania, Brazil) a special event was organized by Embrapa to recognize the contribution of 50 years of CIAT’s rice research in Latin America and the Caribbean and the alliance Cirad/CIAT and Embrapa on rice breeding and the impact in rice production in the region. In this occasion, Embrapa highlighted the relevant role of rice research at CIAT and the alliance Cirad/CIAT on genetic resources development, capacity building and networking, stressing the importance of those contributions to Embrapa.
