National Stakeholder Workshop in Kenya: Country Climate Change Risk Profiles
CIAT organized National Stakeholder Workshop on Country Climate Change Risk Profiles, Kenya. This is part of CIATs support to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The meeting was attended by 60 representatives from Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD), Kenya Climate Change Secretariat, World Vision, National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), representatives from 15 countries, CCAFS, farmer organization representatives, among others.
The meeting deliberated on the methodologies for carrying out the County Climate Change Risk Assessments and also establishing partnerships around the assignment. The CIAT teams will be going to the Counties to collect the information needed to develop these profiles.
