Introducing ORCID numbers!
The Data and Information Management team will soon be adding ORCID® numbers to our records. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) numbers are to authors what DOIs are to publications. They are unique author identifiers, which enable works to be attributed to correct authors, despite variations in naming.

New remote sensing developments for forest monitoring at Global Landscapes Forum
At the Global Landscape Forum, the World Resources Institute (WRI) launched several new initiatives of Global Forest Watch (GFW). One of these is the incorporation of CIAT’s Terra-I into the GFW platform. A new collaboration between WRI and CIAT lets users of the GFW platform visualize and analyze tree cover loss alerts for all of Latin America with a near-real time deforestation monitoring.
